What the heck is a Devil’s Claw? It’s part of a crazy weed we have in West Texas that is sharp and sort of fascinating. This gives some sweet and tangy heat, perfect for warmer weather and gorgeous to boot! Now, we know that cilantro is a polarizing herb—if you’re a cilantro-hater, leave out the cilantro.

  • 1.5 oz Toddi Small Batch Vodka or Toddi Lemon Lime Vodka

  • 3 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

  • 1 tsp agave nectar or honey

  • 4-8 slices of fresh jalapeno (use your judgment)

  • 2-3 cilantro sprigs (if you're a cilantro-hater, leave this out)

  • spicy rimming salt (we use a homemade recipe, but any spicy seasoned salt will work)

  • jalapenos, lime slices and cilantro for garnish


In a shaker toss in jalapeno slices and cilantro. Muddle well. Add ice and vodka, lime juice and agave nectar. Shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled lowball glass rimmed with spicy salt. Garnish with fresh jalapeno slices, cilantro and lime slices. Drink up, y’all!
